Never, Ever Throw Out Used Tea Bags In Spring. Here’s why!
It turns out, there’s actually quite a few things you can do with used tea bags, especially in the garden. Keep reading to learn why you might want to bury those teabags instead of tossing them in the trash:
Used tea bag uses:
Used tea bags are best used in the spring as the old used tea leaves have so much to give to your garden! Tea bags do wonders for the garden. They enrich the soil by increasing nitrogen levels, and also give earthworms (fertilizers) something yummy to eat. (Just be sure to remove the tags first)
Add tea bags to a compost pile.( This reduces garbage in general and adds nutrients to a compost pile)
If you don’t want to plant your tea bags right away, you can also use them to germinate seeds. Flatten your tea bag out on a dish or tray, and place seeds that you wish to sprout on the damp surface of the bag.
